659 lbs of food & supplies were collected in 2023.
Date Posted: November 20, 2023

St. Joseph CFB with help from Centreville FFA & 4-H Clubs in St. Joseph County were again challenged to collect food for food banks in the area. On Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 seven 4H groups from St. Joseph County delivered nonperishable items to the Centreville FFA building at the Centreville High School.   St. Joseph County Farm Bureau volunteers count and weigh all donations and awards points for the items according to need.  The 3 clubs with the highest total points are our winners.  Food Pantries are always in need of non-perishable food and toiletry items. This is the seventeenth year for this project and the St. Joseph 4H Clubs always represent the county well. Not only do the 4H members gain the satisfaction of helping those in need, but the top three 4H clubs are awarded monetary prizes and the 1st place club will have their club's name on the plaque that hangs in the MSU Extension Office!
