Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies

Welcome to our new website!

We hope you'll take a moment to check things out. We are still under construction in some areas so please bear with us as we continue to enhance your web experience.

Special Announcement: The Farm Bureau Family of Companies is dedicated to providing for and protecting Michiganders. To this end, we are encouraging all policyholders and members to review their coverage limits on their insurance policy(ies). With recent increases in the cost of goods, services, and construction, we want to do our part to ensure Michigan residents are properly protected. Please contact your local agent if you believe that your coverage limits may need to be increased.

Leona Daniels, District 10 Director

Leona Daniels

At MFB’s 100th Annual Meeting, Leona Daniels was elected to represent the organization’s new District 10 — Arenac, Clare, Gladwin, Iosco, Huron Shores and Ogemaw counties — on the board of directors.

Daniels milked cows alongside her husband Ken for 45 years north of Sterling in Arenac County. After selling the milking herd several years ago, they downsized to a small cow-calf operation, raising steers, corn, soybeans and hay.

From the beginning she was deeply involved in Farm Bureau activities, first in local-level outreach efforts. By the mid-1980s she’d worked her way into state-level roles, where she had a hand in the groundbreaking evolution of MFB’s Women’s Program into the more progressive, inclusive outreach program that’s since become a national standard: Promotion & Education.

Outside Farm Bureau, she also stayed active as a passionate advocate for the dairy industry, doing promotional work for Michigan Milk Producers Association and United Dairy Industry of Michigan for more than 40 years.

Leona and Ken’s son Mark Daniels is also a familiar face at MFB, having chaired its state-level Young Farmer Committee, represented that program on the MFB Board of Directors, and now serving on the Nursery and Greenhouse Advisory Committee.
