Austin Phibbs, Phibbs Family Farm, Fowlerville, MI

Austin and his wife Jaime are a first-generation family farm producing hay and provide custom hay harvesting. They began in 2018 and with their growing family of 3 daughters, Opal, Hazel, and Lydia, they farm their acreage, raise a garden, and care for their cats, bunnies, goats, and donkeys.

During harvest season, you would find Austin preparing equipment, or in the hayfield cutting, turning, raking, baling, or stacking hay. In 2022 the Phibbs Family Farm produced 125 square bales per acre, about 150% above their average. Every year is different, but Austin and his family live by faith and dedication to the Lord to provide for his family and others. “On our family farm, we praise the Lord. He has blessed our family farm, and we honor Him by helping others with our first fruits. We try to donate 10% of the bales that we harvest to those in need. We are called to be a light of this world, and through our family farm, we try to illuminate Jesus!”

Livingston County Farm Bureau is proud to have Austin as a valued member of our Board of Directors! He also serves on the Promotion and Education Committee, and the Young Farmer Committee, and is always willing to lend a hand. Thank you, Austin!
