Kicking off planning season for Agriculture Career Day

Date Posted: February 27, 2024

The 2024 Agriculture Career Day committee met earlier this month and finalized the date and location of the event. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Welden Farms in Jonesville.

Hillsdale County High School students grades 9-12 are invited to the event. In addition, Addison, Hudson, and Homer will also be invited to register students. The committee hopes to capture those Hillsdale County kids that select school of choice outside of the county.

Students who attended last year are encouraged to attend again as we plan to bring in new career stations. Students should contact their school at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year to register.

After our first year of hosting this event through Hillsdale County Farm Bureau, the reviews from teachers and students encouraged hosting the event again at a local farm. We are excited to have Welden Farms take the rein this year after Stoney Ridge Farms in Waldron gave us our first glimpse at this new adventure.

The committee will be hard at work recruiting volunteers, speakers, and sponsors in the coming months. If you’re interested in getting involved, click here to learn more.

New this year, sponsorship opportunities have been streamlined to include a multi-program option for those that want to be a part of our many agriculture-based educational opportunities! Click below to download the sponsorship form. All forms and payment are due March 22, 2024.
