Michigan Farm Bureau’s home office in Lansing hosts the 2024 Issues & Outlook Conference Feb. 6. The event is designed as an update and orientation for members of the organization’s 13 Commodity Advisory Committees:

  • Direct Marketing & Agritourism
  • Dry Bean & Sugar Beet 
  • Economic Development 
  • Equine 
  • Feed Grains, Oilseeds & Wheat

  • Natural & Environmental Resources 
  • Nursery & Greenhouse

“The information we’ll be sharing at this conference will help shape discussions our Commodity Advisory Committees will have later in the year,” said Theresa Sisung, who helps coordinate the event in her role as MFB’s Industry Relations Specialist. “We’re also building in time that afternoon for committees to meet individually to discuss issues and plan for future meetings.”

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the conference will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. 

Sessions include a discussion on the impact recent Supreme Court decisions will have on agriculture, an economic outlook, Farm Bill updates, labor updates and a panel discussion with purchasers on sustainability program implementation. See more details below.

While the conference is intended primarily for CAC members, other interested regular Farm Bureau members are welcome to attend for a nominal fee. 

All prospective attendees are asked to R.S.V.P. here by Jan. 15.
