Farm Bureau Insurance Cuts Ribbon on New Ann Arbor Agent Development Office

Date Posted: November 8, 2023

Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan joined its Southeast Region Managing Partners Greg Badley, Garrison Diehl, Alex Garn, Andrea Rouland, and Joe Schultz along with the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber of Commerce, in celebration of the grand opening Farm Bureau’s new Agent Development Office (ADO) in Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 26th, 2023. An open house was held with games, food, and prizes, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony where Garn and Harriet Hughes of the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber of Commerce shared some words about the significance of the new regional, professional incubator.

During the ribbon cutting at the new location at 2211 Old Earhart Rd, Suite 95, Ann Arbor, MI  48105, Hughes said, “The Chamber is very excited to have Farm Bureau right here with this ADO office.” She continued, “You are developing young people, helping them with their careers and that (leads to) more people here in the community, working and serving the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.”

“We (currently) have ten new agents in this office who are starting their business,” said Garn. Highlighting the benefit of the development office model, he noted, “(There is) no better thing than to be able to walk out of your office, go next door, and (work) with someone that's going through the same process, (experiencing) the same challenges and being able to collaborate with them and find solutions.”

“ADOs (Agent Development Offices) are really unique,” added Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan Statewide Sales Director Nick Hurst. “We bring the best elements of what it means to be a great Farm Bureau (Insurance) agent and we centralize it, right here in this office, in this space, with these people, growing and learning together.”

The agents who will be working out of the new office are part of a statewide force of over 400 Farm Bureau Insurance agents serving more than 660,000 Michigan policyholders. Farm Bureau Insurance agents work to ensure that the people of Michigan are protected across a comprehensive list of insurance needs, including home, auto, business, health, farm, retirement, crop, lake estate, and more.
