Farm Bureau Insurance of Micigan

The Farm Bureau Family of Companies is continuously monitoring the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) with updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Ingham County Health Department, and other local health systems. The safety and well-being of our insureds, members, farmers, employees, and agents is of utmost importance to us.

To protect our employees and their families, the Family of Companies is allowing for remote work where feasible but want to reiterate that our business is functioning and operating as usual. Our efforts in recent years to plan for unforeseen circumstances such as this has prepared us to maintain our business operations. Insureds and members can rest assured that the Family of Companies can provide the service they need and expect.

Our insurance company’s mission to protect the people of Michigan from the risks of everyday life—these recent events will NOT affect insurance coverages in any way. Policies remain in force and insurance protection remains as strong as ever. Our claims team stands ready to serve customers in their time of need.

Insureds and members seeking to limit their physical contact are encouraged to make payments online, sign up for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments, and consider making policy changes and/or updates to policies, online. Customers may also call our experienced customer service team at (800) 292-2680 or visit FarmBureauInsurance.com to utilize our live chat.

We encourage all Michiganders to continue to follow CDC guidelines including:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.  If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

We will continue to monitor this situation and will communicate as needed. The Farm Bureau Family of Companies is committed to serving members and policyholders swiftly and safely.
