New IAT grads: membership potential!

MSU’s Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) and College of Agriculture and Natural Resources graduated a parade of ambitious agriculturalist.

MSU’s Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) and College of Agriculture and Natural Resources graduated a parade of ambitious young agriculturalists April 30, each making their way across the stage of an outdoor commencement ceremony.

Many of them were active in their respective Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter, each linked with MSU from 12 community college campuses across the state.

IAT students can participate in the Collegiate Discussion Meet; attend MFB’s Young Farmer Leaders or Growing Together conferences and Lansing Legislative Seminar; and serve as the voice of agriculture on their campus through chapter-driven programming.

And now, as they wrap up their time and become Spartan alumni, county Farm Bureaus are encouraged invite IAT graduates to join in your upcoming district-level discussion meet, celebrate their graduation at your county annual meeting, or seek their assistance with an upcoming Harvest for All activity.

Collegiate Farm Bureau provides us with a clear pipeline of potential membership. If your county’s membership captain(s) want to reach out in that direction, your CAM can search the iMIS member database for collegiate Farm Bureau members from your area.
