Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan Partners with Michigan Fitness Foundation for “World’s Largest Exercise Class”on ACES Day

Date Posted: April 21, 2021

Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan has partnered with the Michigan Fitness Foundation for over twenty years to encourage physical activity among Michigan students. All Children Exercising Simultaneously (ACES Day) is traditionally celebrated with interactive events across the state of Michigan in early spring each year. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic threatened to interrupt this year’s event, scheduled for May 6th. There is now a solution in place allowing the it to go on, virtually, on its scheduled date.

Michigan Fitness Foundation’s website, michiganfitness.org, will be stocked with fun workout videos, yoga excercises, dances, games, and more to help get children get moving on May 6th. The materials arranged by this partnership will also include Adventure Around Michigan, a Michigan-themed creative game to help spurn on the activity while still adhering to state safety guidelines dictated by current health concerns. Families are encouraged to get in on the action by posting photos of their ACES Day activities and tagging @FarmBureauInsuranceMichigan along with @MichiganFitness, using the hashtag #ACESDayMI2020, allowing participants to experience a sense of community with each other as they get active.

ACES Day works to encourage and promote healthy lifestyles among the state's future leaders. With ACES Day continuing to grow in Michigan since its inception in 1989, both Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan and the Michigan Fitness Foundation are excited to find a way to continue the tradition at a time when it’s more important than ever to find creative ways to get active.
