Date Posted: April 21, 2021

The Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies presented a $14,350 check to the Greater Lansing Food Bank on March 3rd, 2020. The donation was made possible by employees who, each year, have the opportunity to make a  contribution to the food bank in lieu of receiving a holiday ham from the organization.

“This donation from the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies represents an impressive and admirable commitment to our community,” said Michelle Lantz, CEO of the Greater Lansing Food Bank. “We’ve had a special partnership with the Farm Bureau team for many years, but I never cease to be humbled and amazed by the organization and its employees’ generosity. This contribution is just another example of their commitment to continue growing and building upon their own rich history of community outreach. On behalf of the many Michigan families and individuals who will benefit from this collective act of kindness, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved!”

“I'd like to thank the team members who graciously elected to help give back to others in need this year,” added Michigan Farm Bureau President, Carl Bednarski. “The Farm Bureau Family of companies prides itself on a willingness to collaborate to accomplish great things. This contribution stands as another fine example of that.”
